Getting to the Conference venue

The Australian National Maritime Museum, close to the centre of Sydney on Darling Harbour, is easily accessible on foot, by public transport and by car.

The Conference opens Thursday & Friday at 8.30 am – 5.00 pm.
The Trade Exhibition opens at 9.30 am – 5.00 pm.

Transport Directions
Walk From the city across Pyrmont Bridge, approximately 20 minutes (see map below)
Train/Walk Train to Town Hall station and walk across Pyrmont Bridge.
Train/ Bus Train to Town Hall station and bus 443 from York Street.
Bus Bus 443 from Circular Quay.
Ferry

Matilda City Loop ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour wharf.
Sydney ferry from Circular Quay to Pyrmont Bay wharf.

Light rail Light rail to Pyrmont Bay station.
Monorail Monorail to Harbourside station.
Drive Discount parking is available at Harbourside Carpark, (100 Murray Street, Pyrmont – just behind Harbourside/under the Novotel Hotel. T: (02) 9692 0627), a 5-minute walk from the Conference venue. Present your parking ticket at the registration desk for validation. Parking for the day costs $12.00. Parking is also available at Star City Casino, a five-minute walk to the museum. There is limited metered street parking near the museum.
Accessible parking Two dedicated accessible parking spaces are available at the museum. Phone +61 2 9298 3777 to book a parking space.

Maritime Museum Services & Facilities (Refer to Map)

Public Amenities – modern, energy saving toilets, disabled toilets and baby change rooms are located at the Museum.
Food – An excellent cafe-restaurant at the Museum & there are many outlets, cafes, juice bars, sweets, pubs & bars in the Darling Harbour area.
Shopping – Darling Harbour offers an exciting range of clothing, gifts, music, entertainment and books.
Eftpos and ATMs – there are electronic banking facilities just a short walk away.
First Aid facilities – the Zoo has a fully stocked first aid room. Senior First Aid officers are always available on the premises.
Disabled Access – the Museum provides ramps and railings for disability access & 2 x permanent car spaces (booked through the venue on +61 2 9298 3777)
