GRA – Structure Positions & AGM information

GRA is a not-for-profit charity registered with the ACNC.
GRA works closely with community associations to foster urban regeneration, renewal and sustainable development which will provide social, environmental and economical benefits through healthy, natural ecosystem services.

Board Members of GRA are professionals who work pro rata to further the green infrastructure industry through the promotion of relative sustainable urban design, water sensitive urban design, plant research and landscape practice in Australia..

Since 2006, GRA has been the peak body promoting green roofs; living walls and green facades in Australasia with close international ties to the World Green Infrstructure Network (WGIN). In 2013 GRA broadened promotional activities to include all green infrastructure yet retaining a significant focus on vegetated systems for the built form & urban development. GRA is supportive of all associations which Advance the Natural Environment and to date we have worked closely with Horticulture Australia; the Nursery & Gardens Industry of Australia; Australian Institute of Landscape Architects; the Green Building Council of Australia; Universities; Local & State Governments and Capital City Councils.

On the International stage the current President for GRA is active as the Vice President for the World Green Infrastructure Network (WGIN) and has developed extensive global networks with other International organisations.

GRA has been registered with the ACNC as a Not-For_Profit / Charity Organisation Advancing the natural environment. 30 June 2015.
Currently, GRA is under consideration by the Ministry of Environment for acceptance as an Environmental Organisation.

GRA does welcome volunteer participation and expenses may be provided for special projects.

This website has been recently updated with new content, expanded Library, new videos and projects.

GRA will continue to improve over 2016 and we look forward to your support.

GRA membership will open up a new community network of professionals and community associations that passionately believe in a new paradigm for urban planning and best practice which incorporates nature and sustains a healthy ecosystem.
