Chris Johnson from Urban Taskforce has told GRA that a survey recently conducted by TF shows that Sydney siders are in favour of abandoning the 1/4 acrea suburban blocks for smaller medium density housing which is closer to transport nodes and employment opportunity.

As Urban Taskforce represents the Developers this survey will be used to push for greater flexibility in planning controls to allow more housing developments, especially medium to hgh rise. This transition will also be fuelled by the housing demand pressures on the Baird Gov't particularly Rob Stokes.

There is no greater time to lobby for green infrastructure inclusion than now. Write to your local MP and insist that if there is to be an increased density then there needs to be more green... especially on roofs - a precious parcel of land being under utilised.
