Green Grow the Cities: Islands in the Sky in Sydney
Amid the buzz and the grind of our biggest metropolises, more and more sky gardens are beginning to bloom.
Although Australia lacks the green rooftop-gardens and green-roof culture that has become deep-rooted in Europe and America, green roofs are gradually creeping across our biggest cities.
The City of Sydney has more then 96,000sqm of green roofs and green walls. In central Melbourne, the movement has progressed even further.
