University of Lima

The unique living wall in Lima Peru aims to mitigate our carbon footprint, improve the health of residents in this major city in Peru. It is located in the University grounds and aims to reduce the psychological stress on students to improve their study outcomes. 
 
Lima like many cities has poor planning. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends 8M2 of park space per person in a city. Lima has only 0.8M2 per person. The vertical garden goes a long way to improving the ratio of green space and all its benefits. Green space on the living wall filters pollutants and CO2 from the air. Each 1M2 can trap 130g of dust per year.
Atlantis Gro-Wall4® is designed to regulate temperature and humidity. This university wall provides a sound barrier for low frequency and high frequency sounds. Wellbeing of students is provided. As you can see by the picture is highly aesthetic. It is a piece of living art for visitors, guests and hosts augmenting their sense of wellbeing and relaxation.  The Vertical Green Wall has the capacity to consume and process the same amount of CO2 as 3 five meter high trees, reflecting dedication to green initiatives and providing a spiritual and physical connection to nature.
Atlantis modular recycled plastic receptacles (in Gro-Wall4 TM)  were put together in a geometrical pattern to cover 120 m2 of space. Native species were individually planted process is an organic growing media. Organic Liquid Fertilizer diluted in water is delivered to the Root System of each plant by an Irrigation System.
